BEAUTY ACUPUNCTURE: EAST MEETS WEST
In west and east, we all know our cells re-generate every 30 days on average. Beauty acupuncture views skin as a “reflection of your inner health and balance,” meaning when your inner health is restored / balanced, your skin will reflect this.
Some wrinkles, sagging etc., are not just the skin surface issue but often involves bone and muscles.
After 15+ years working in product development and marketing in the cosmetics industry, I know skin inside/out: topical skin care products cannot tackle beauty inside. Similarly, injections and fillers can improve the appearance temporarily, but cannot be sustained without side effects, such as muscular imbalances and atrophy.
What is Acupuncture?
Our Beauty Acupuncture - Japanese Style "Shinkyu"
Our Beauty Acupuncture is a Japanese style acupuncture.
Acupuncture is called “Shinkyu” in Japanese, meaning acupuncture and moxibustion. Chinese medicine originated from China and has a 3,000 year history. It was imported to Japan around 1,500 years ago. The Japanese have evolved acupuncture in their own way since then.
Nowadays, Japanese Shinkyu is known for:
1) Using extremely thin top quality needles: enhance "no-pain" experience
2) Using gentle, softer techniques: effective but calm, relaxing experience
3) Japanese acupuncture also follows the special Clean Needle Technique in the U.S. to ensure high hygiene standard
Acupuncture is BOTOX, Fillers Compatible
Beauty Acupuncture works very well with any neuro-toxins, fillers and other surgical/non-surgical procedures.
There is no adverse or reverse effects to none of western anti-aging procedures.
But before booking Beauty Acupuncture, please talk to your doctor about
what activities can be done after your procedure. We usually tell patients
to wait for 2-3 weeks after the Botox, fillers and other "soft" procedures.
Please ask us if you take any LED photo-facial, other light therapy or skin-
peeling - usually their downtime is not as long as fillers. But we ask you if there is any redness, burns or inflammations before coming in. For invasive surgical procedures, such as facelift (or SMAS or mini-lift), threading, etc., we usually ask minimum one month “downtime” before acupuncture on face.
We can see patients with all skin conditions, but please note after examinations, we may advise you to see Primary Care Physicians (family doctor) or dermatologist for further diagnosis.
Acupuncture treatment can be done with skin-aging conditions and hyper-pigmentation, uneven skin tone, wrinkles, sagging skin, as well as common skin problems such as dry/oily skin, acne-prone skin, rosacea, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, Bell’s Palsy, etc., but we do not diagnose, nor medically treat any skin diseases.
